Or visit the Search the MLS page to begin the search for your new home on your own. This area allows you to search all the current listings in the areas you are interested in. It also allows you to save your searches and to be put on "auto-notify" so that when new listings come up that meet your criteria you will automatically be emailed.

Before You Start Looking For Your New Home:

  • Check your credit rating. Straighten out any errors before its too late. (CALL SYDNEY for help with this!)
  • Determine a comfortable monthly budget for your new purchase, including down payment and monthly payment.

  • Determine what neighborhood best matches your needs.
  • Identify important features you need your new home to have.

Closing Costs to Expect:

  • Lender fees include charges for loan processing, underwriting, preparation and establishing an escrow account.  These fees can be negotiated and PAID BY THE SELLER.
  • Third-party fees include charges for insurance, title search, and other inspections such as termites. These fees can be negotiated and PAID BY THE SELLER.
  • Government fees include deed recording and state & local mortgage taxes. These fees can be negotiated and PAID BY THE SELLER.
  • Escrow and interest fees include homeowner's insurance, loan interest, real estate taxes, and occasionally private mortgage insurance. These fees can be negotiated and PAID BY THE SELLER.
